Alexander Zverev Wins 2021 ATP Finals!

24-year old Alexander Zverev has been in the top 10 of the ATP world rankings since 2017 now but somehow or the other, he doesn’t manage to bag the big titles. However, the German professional tennis player will be super happy as he’s gone on to win the 2021 ATP Finals, where he was seeded #3 at the start of the tournament.

He had to knock out all the competition himself, with a very tough 3-set game against #1 seed Novak Djokovic just yesterday. After getting past that semi final, he had another major test in the form of #2 seed Daniil Medvedev. And today, he proved his mettle once again, winning in straight sets 6-4 6-4 to claim the title.

It’s not the first time he’s gone on to win the ATP Finals on tour, winning in 2018 as well, when he beat Djokovic in straight sets. It’s a big milestone in his career and will be a major confidence boost going into the 2022 season and the four new Grand Slams. Remember, the younger Zverev brother is still searching for that elusive grand slam title.

As for Medvedev, it was his second consecutive entry into the ATP Finals final, getting there last year too and winning it, beating Dominic Thiem in 3 sets to win the 2020 ATP Finals. With 8 aces against Medvedev’s 3 aces today, Zverev’s serve was the one that got him the game and w congratulate him and his family on the victory!
