The 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs) were hosted at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, 21st November 2021. Always a good event to see fashion choices of celebrities, it was singer and rapper Cardi B who drove all the attention towards her as she appeared on stage and on the red carpet with a solid gold face mask!
Known for her fashion choices and sometimes outrageous wardrobe options, Cardi was hosting this year’s event and posed twice on the red carpet. She even posted to her Twitter account, where she has 20+ million followers, before the prestigious event began, with caption, “We just gettin started over here….. @AMAs.”

The 29-year old was nearly unrecognisable as the gold mask overed her entire face and to go with it, she had yellow-coloured contact lenses as well. Her earrings had eyes and fingers on them and she wore a long black gloves with long gold nails to accompany it as well. She also tweeted that it took a month to decide her wardrobe, saying, “On wardrobe for about a month everything else bout a week.”
Apart from hosting the event, the 5-time AMA winner was also nominated for three different awards, so she’ll be pumped for that as well. Her bold look got heads turning once again and we’re not surprised but ultimately, she’s Cardi B! In the past, notable hosts of the AMAs have included Jennifer Lopez, Diana Ross, Jimmy Kimmel, Britney Spears and others…
