Chasing 81 to win, we knew it was always going to be an easy win for Bulls but Gurbaz made really light work of it, finishing the game in just the fifth over. While he played shots and got out in most games, it was three games ago that he hit 70 and brought up his first fifty of the season. Today, he smashed 57(16)* which was his second fifty and the fastest one in the tournament so far.

Just having completed 20 years of age a few days ago, the youngster from Afghanistan is surely making a name for himself and today’s knock included 5 fours and 6 sixes on a very big ground at Zayed Cricket Stadium in UAE. Batting with his new opening partner Chandrapaul Hemraj, Bulls completed a 10-wicket victory in just 4.1 overs.

It was a good day for new records at the 2021/22 Abu Dhabi T10 as earlier in the day, Wanindu Hasaranga of Deccan Gladiators broke the record for the best bowling figures in the history of the league, getting 5/8 and tearing apart his opponents.
