Ranveer Singh’s Father Paid 20 Crore To Launch Him?

We know that Bollywood has a lot of untold stories and plenty of deep secrets to keep. However, there’s a new rumour that’s doing the rounds about one of the biggest stars Bollywood has right now. We’re talking about superstar Ranveer Singh who apparently wasn’t really launched by Yash Raj Films (YRF) but was paid to do so…

Ranveer Singh’s Father Paid 20 Crore To Launch Him?

Giving us this piece of information was none other than film critic and director, Kamaal R Khan. Known for his notorious behaviour both on and off screen, KRK has always been at the center of controversy and now, he’s made this sensational claim about how Ranveer actually made his debut. He believes that his father Jagjit Singh paid Aditya Chopra’s company to launch his son.

The self-proclaimed critic went as far as giving his audience a figure too, saying that YRF was paid Rs.20 Crore to launch Ranveer Singh in his Bollywood debut, Band Baaja Baraat. The movie saw Ranveer starring opposite actress Anushka Sharma and KRK made this absurd revelation while reviewing the film Bunty Aur Babli 2, starring Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan.

“A lot of people say Adi also launched Ranveer and he’s a huge star today. But no, his father paid a massive sum of 20 crore rupees and only after that Yash Raj Films agreed to launch him,” he said in Hindi. However, since it’s KRK who has made many such claims about big stars in the past, we don’t know how reliable his information is and whether it should be taken seriously or not.

In fact, even right now, he’s in the middle of a legal soup over comments he made about Salman Khan’s Radhe a while back. He loves the camera and the attention and his claims could even be a publicity stunt, but who are we to be the judge here?! See the entire video where he made these claims here:
