Goa’s Iconic Tito’s Will NOT Be Sold

A few months ago, there was a huge hue and cry as one of Goa’s most iconic and legendary businesses was on the verge of being sold off. We’re talking about Tito’s Hospitality which has earned a huge name in the coastal state of Goa over the decades. Tourists from near and far have enjoyed the clubs and hotels served up by this company.

However, as per a recent statement from one of the co-owners Ricardo D’Souza, the club will not be sold after all. He took the opportunity to let everyone know about this good news on Thursday, 18th November 2021, one day before the 50th anniversary of Tito’s on the 19th. He told the media in Goa’s Baga about the new decision.

“We changed our mind about selling. We never sold. Talks were at an advanced stage with a buyer, but we decided to stay on and continue running Tito’s,” said Ricardo. This comes after he surprised one and all with a social media post in late June 2021 that Tito’s has been sold and that he had issues with local authorities and government departments.

“We were overwhelmed with the messages of support and help we received from across Goa, India and abroad, and that made us decide to fight it out,” he added. In fact, he took the opportunity along with his brother David to announce their expansion plans for the company as well.

Among them will be Tito’s Hotels. They currently have two hotels and will be adding 6 more properties to the list soon. Tito’s Eats, Tito’s Travel, Tito’s Spirit and Tito’s Fashion are also in the pipeline while also opening up more franchises of Club Tito’s, and also ruling out getting into politics in the near future.
