It’s been an up and down week for Manchester United and their millions of followers across the globe. A heart-breaking loss followed by the sacking of their manager and then a couple of good games with good results. Former mid-fielder Michael Carrick took over in between but now, they’ve hired an interim manager who will take over until the end of the season.
Manchester United took to their website for an official post on this announcement, as Ralf Rangnick was signed as interim manager, and he will be with them till the end of the season subject to work visa requirements. After the end of this particular period, he’ll continue in a consultancy role for a further two years, as agreed with the club management.

John Murtough, Manchester United football director, said: “Ralf is one of the most respected coaches and innovators in European football. He was our number one candidate for interim manager, reflecting the invaluable leadership and technical skills he will bring from almost four decades of experience in management and coaching.”
“I am excited to be joining Manchester United and focused on making this a successful season for the club. The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience. All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team,” said Ralf Rangnick on joining the side as manager.
Carrick will remain in charge of the team until Ralf’s visa is finalised. United also thanked Lokomotiv Moscow for their cooperation in bringing Ralf to their club in England. For more similar cricket stories, news and updates from around the world, stay tuned to ReadScoops.com…
