Following Love Jihad Post, Yash Dayal Claims Account Was Hacked

It wasn’t the best of days for Gujarat Titans pacer Yash Dayal as he faced plenty of backlash on social media for a post he put up against the Muslim religion. He posted a cartoon about ‘Love Jihad’ and obviously, he received a lot of negative comments because of this anti-secular story that he put up. Soon, he posted an apology as well.

A few hours ago, we saw the apology where Dayal put up another story stating that he didn’t mean to enrage any particular caste or community, and that he didn’t intend to cause hurt to any religious sentiments. Another, he’s taken a massive u-turn as the player took to another story to saying he was hacked and that he hadn’t personally uploaded any of those stories.

Following Love Jihad Post, Yash Dayal Claims Account Was Hacked

Yash Dayal’s Instagram account was hacked?

Now the question is if his account was really hacked or not?! We’ve seen Instagram accounts being hacked and we see genuine agenda by the hackers, either posting cryptocurrency scams or banking details, or using Instagram accounts for other of their personal benefits. However, nothing of the sort was witnessed on Dayal’s stories.

Apart from the love jihad post and the subsequent apology, he posted a few stories on Team India’s look ahead of the 2023 WTC Final against Australia. Surely, these don’t look like stories that any hacker would upload, as Dayal went on to post that the two posts (love jihad and the apology stories) were both not put out by him. Interesting, isn’t it?!

It really depends on how much of Dayal’s version we actually want to believe. He must’ve faced further backlash after putting out the apology where he said it wasn’t meant to hurt any sentiments, and thus decided to backtrack and say that he wasn’t responsible for any of the posts on his account. Further, all stories on his account were archived / deleted.

“There were two stories posted on my Insta handle today – both of which weren’t done by me. I have reported the matter to authorities as I believe my account is being accessed by someone else and used for posting,” was Dayal’s statement to let his followers know that he was hacked. However, social media isn’t believing this apology so much.

Dayal already had a poor IPL 2023 season for Gujarat where he rose to fame for all the wrong reasons. The main reason being hit for 29 runs in the final over against Kolkata Knight Riders (Rinku Singh) to lose the game for his side. And now, he’s got into controversy with these posts on his Instagram account. Here’s the Yash Dayal hacked story he posted:

Religion is an important part of our country India, and we don’t expect such statements from a leading pacer playing at this level. In fact, Dayal plays alongside Muslim players in his Gujarat franchise itself, including Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami who were among the top bowlers of the tournament in IPL 2023, where GT lost to Chennai in the final.

We’re hoping Dayal can get past all of this and focus on his bowling ahead of local tournaments and the IPL 2024 season as well. For similar updates from cricket tournaments from around the world, stay tuned to ReadScoops.com
