Supernatural: Watch Stumps Move in ZIM vs BAN Match

As a sports fan, you’re bound to have seen quite a few unique and unforgettable things happening on and off the field. Sometimes, there’s no answer as to why a certain incident happened and that’s exactly what we saw today in Harare where the 2nd T20I was taking place between the hosts Zimbabwe and one of their most friendly rivals, Bangladesh.

Supernatural: Watch Stumps Move in ZIM vs BAN Match

Bangladesh was chasing 167 and you can say the chase was almost done and dusted when the players went up in appeal against Mohammad Saifuddin when they saw the stumps moved and the bails fallen to the ground. As per protocol, the on-field umpired went upstairs to check the slow motion replays and the Zimbabwe players were already celebrating the wicket of Saifuddin.

However, the replays showed us that there was absolutely no contact of bat or any part of Saifuddin’s body with the stumps. In fact, the middle stump just moved on its own before the ball arrived to the batsman, causing a bail to fall. Once the decision was given as not out, the Zimbabwe players were in shock as there was no other explanation as to how the stump could move on its own.

The team at Read Scoops has been watching cricket for years now and we’ve never seen anything of this kind in all those years. There’s no explanation as to how that could happen. Even if there was a breeze around the ground, the stumps are rooted well into the pitch and we’ve seen heavy thunderstorms not affecting them.

In fact, the commentator on air shouted ‘Supernatural’ and we’ve got to agree with him because there’s no other logical reasoning as to how that could’ve happened. He further went on to say that he’s lucky he doesn’t do the pitch report and won’t be going down near there anytime soon either.
