The 2021 Pakistan tour of Bangladesh has been a disappointing one for the hosts so far. They lost the T20I series 0-3 and then lost the 1st Test of the series by 8 wickets as well. The last game of the series is the 2nd Test and unfortunately, we’ve had DHaka rains ruining the chances of the hosts getting one victory in this series.
With plenty of overs being lost on Day 1 and then barely any play getting in on Day 2, this game is headed straight for a draw and while you can sit and be sad about such things, the other option is to go ahead and enjoy yourself as well. One of the greatest Bangladeshi cricketers to have graced the game, Shakib al Hasan returned to the team to play his first game of the series in the 2nd Test.
The all-rounder bowled 15 overs and had 0/33 at the end of Day 2 with Pakistan at 188/2 after 63.2 overs. The second day was a very disappointing one and Shakib decided to go ahead and enjoy himself, running and diving onto the covers, sliding several meters during the process. Shakib clearly relived some childhood memories and entertained the few people who remained in the stands despite the rain.
