While the Indian premier League (IPL) ended last week, there are several other franchise and T20 leagues to look forward to. In India itself, there are multiple domestic leagues that are scheduled and currently going on, one of them being the Saurashtra Premier League (SPL) 2022 which is already underway and is super popular as well.
SPL 2022 will follow a single round robin format followed by the final and a total of 5 teams will be playing this tournament, the same ones which played the inaugural edition of SPL 2019. All games will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium in Rajkot and Sorath Lions will be looking to repeat their performance from the last edition where they ended as winners.
SPL 2022 Dates
As we mentioned above also, the tournament has already begun. Since it’s a single round robin format between only 5 regional teams, there are just 10 games on the SPL 2022 schedule followed by the final. The SPL 2022 dates are between 2-11 June 2022 and it’s being broadcasted live on Star Sports Network in India.
SPL 2022 Schedule
As we said above, there are a total of 10 games in the round robin stage of the SPL 2022 tournament followed by a single game for the SPL 2022 final. On the days of the single headers, all games will begin at 7pm IST but on the days where there are two matches each lined up on the SPL Season 2 schedule, the start timings are 3pm and 7pm IST respectively. In SPL Season 1, Himalaya Barad ended as the top scorer of the tournament (216 runs) while Chetan Sakariya was the leading wicket-taker (12 wickets).
