It was indeed a Super Sunday for all cricket fans from England and around the world as a whole list of T20 Blast 2023 fixtures brought a whole lot of entertainment. One particular game was the Kent vs Surrey one where the latter ended up winning on the last ball of the chase, wrapping up a complete thriller of a game.
In the first innings, Kent began well and was looking solid to post a good score with captain Sam Billings at the crease along with Jordan Cox. And the wicket-keeper batsman decided in the 14th over that it was time to put his foot to the pedal and increase the scoring rate. And he produced a bit of brilliance on the first ball of this over, against Sunil Narine.

Narine would’ve definitely not been expecting this kind of innovation on the first ball of the over, especially since Billings was struggling before this hit. He was batting on 21(24) below a run a ball strike rate, and he brought this hit out of nowhere. He quickly flipped his stance and completed a long, long hit for six.
And while the crowds were amazed, Narine got his revenge in the same over itself. It’s not for nothing that he’s known as one of the greatest T20 bowlers of all time, as the mystery spinner dismissed Billings only a couple of balls later, in the same over. He castled him for 30(28) and ended with the last laugh in this little battle.
