It’s not everyday that you get to see your favourite retired international cricketers on the pitch, and that was a dream made into a reality by the Legends League Cricket (LLC) T20 tournament. It kicked off in 2022 and had two successful seasons in the first year itself, which led to more players and more teams being added to the competition in the months to come.
Legends League Cricket also announced the LLC Masters concept, which last took place in Qatar in March 2023. And with the latest LLC 2024 edition (LLC Season 3), a couple of new franchises were added to the league including the Konark Suryas Odisha franchise. Here on this page, we’re going to take a walk down memory lane and check out our complete LLC T20 winners list…
Two editions took place in the inaugural year of the Legends League Cricket tournament, with World Giants claiming the title in LLC Masters 2022 and later in the year, it was India Capitals who held on to the trophy in LLC T20 Season 1. The tournament is still in it nascent stage but seeing the growth it has achieved already, we expect it to become a regular fixture on the annual cricketing calendar for veterans.

One interesting fact is that in the first two completed LLC T20 finals, 200+ totals were put up by the side batting first. In fact, World Giants put up a record 256/5 against Asia Lions, only for India Capitals to score 211/7 in LLC Season 2 and record a smashing victory of 100+ runs. Because of massive 1st innings totals in both finals, the Man of the Match awards were given to batters on the first two occasions. Incidentally, both were New Zealand players in Corey Anderson and Ross Taylor, both narrowly missing out on well-deserved centuries in LLC T20 finals. The first three LLC seasons were all hosted in different countries and that speaks volumes about the growth of the league so far.

Quite fittingly, 2-time T20 World Cup winner Daren Sammy was the captain of the winning team of LLC Season 1, while India’s Gautam Gambhir was the winning captain in Season 2. As time goes by, we expect more players and more teams in this LLC T20 competition. The second edition of LLC Masters in March 2023 was taken down by Asia Lions, while Manipal Tigers became the LLC Season 2 winners.
Southern Superstars became LLC Season 3 winners in aa thrilling super over, and with that, all five completed editions of Legends League Cricket have gone on to have different teams winnings. Now, we await to see who will become the LLC Season 4 winners, while the LLCTen10 (10-over) format was also announced during the LLC 2024 final.
