There’s always excitement and hype when the Big Bash League (BBL) returns each year for another season. New rules, new faces, and new records are what we get to witness in this T20 franchise tournament in Australia. Read Scoops loves the stats, so we’re bringing to you a special list today, of all centuries scored in BBL history, since inception with the first edition way back in BBL 2011/12.
So far, the league has seen a total of 36 individual centuries after a decade of Big Bash League being in existence. In ten seasons, the batsmen in the list below have provided entertainment to fans around the world, with 26 unique centurions in that list. Before we go to the full BBL centuries list, why not also check our list of all 5-fers picked in BBL history?!
The first batsman to have ever scored a BBL century was David Warner (no surprises there), and then he went on to ply his trade at other tournaments around the world like the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. The first non-Australian to get a BBL ton was Chris Gayle and once again, we’re not surprised because he stamped his authority in every T20 league he played.

One surprising element in this list was that even after eleven editions of the league, not a single batsman from Sydney Sixers had a BBL century, until Steve Smith came and scored two in the BBL 12 season!
