Legends Cricket Trophy (LCT) 5-Wicket Hauls List

It’s not too often that bowlers end up being the best players of a match in T20 cricket. All the big hits and sixes and high strike rates mean the bowlers are the ones who often suffer. However every now and then, we see some amazing performances with the ball and the same was evident in the recently launched Legends Cricket Trophy (LCT20) presented by premium sportsbook brand, Khiladi.com.

The tournament saw a number of big knocks with the bat and there were even 100+ scores, which you can see in our LCT20 centuries list. But at the same time, a few bowlers stood out, doing well and picking up more wickets than you’re usually expected to in T20 cricket. Here, we’re going to list down every 5-wicket haul taken in the history of the Legends Cricket Trophy…

On the very first day of the league itself, Kuldeep Hooda went on to pick a 4-fer and then Sri Lanka veteran and legend of the game, Sanath Jayasuriya also followed suit, bagging 4/17 for his team, Guwahati Avengers. Here, we’ve put up a compilation of every 5-wicket haul taken in LCT20 history (as of 28th March 2023), last updated towards the end of the inaugural season.

Also playing for the Avengers in the LCT 2023 season, Varun Khanna became the first player in the tournament’s history to pick up a 5-fer and he did so in absolute style, getting lovely figures of 5/11 in his 4 overs, which is an economy rate of less than 3 runs per over. Someone who had a couple of good spells in the few games played in this first edition of the Legends Cricket Trophy was Kapil Rana who picked up two different 3-fers, including 3/32 and 3/38, so we won’t be surprised if has another good day in the office and manages to find his way into this LCT 5-fers list.

With a number if quality bowlers participating in the tournament and the list of retired players expected to grow in seasons to come, we think this is going to be a very populated LCT20 5-fers list very soon.
