Chasing 181 to win the first game in the history of this tournament, Bhanu Seth from the Chandigarh Champs decided to take matters into his own hands and demolish the Guwahati Avengers bowling attack. It was a pretty competitive score but Seth helped his team chase down the target with 7 wickets and as many as 7.4 over to spare, also becoming the first ever LCT20 centurion.

He scored more than 70% of the team’s total which was a feat in itself, smashing 14 sixes and 9 fours in a whirlwind innings of 130(48)* that took his side to victory. A number of big names are associated with the tournament including the likes of Tillakaratne Dilshan, Thisara Perera, Ross Taylor, and so many others, so it won’t be surprising if we see more names join this LCT20 centuries list soon. Those who narrowly missed out on centuries were Suresh Raina and Richard Levi, who got scores of 90* and 94 respectively in the first edition of KhiladiX Legends Cricket Trophy.
The century fro Seth was even more special because 90%+ of his runs came from boundaries and he scored at a sizzling run rate of 270+ which is almost unheard of in T20 cricket. He has no prior professional cricket experience and it’s good that even at this age, new talents can come to the fore in India and around the world.
