Lanka Premier League 2022 – Dates
The tournament was announced on a bit of a short notice but LPL 2022 will be played over a slightly bit longer than a fortnight. LPL 2022 was initially supposed to be played in Jul-Aug 2022 but because of the Sri Lankan economic crisis and an international tour, it was postponed to later in the year.
Finally now, the tournament is back and the LPL 2022 dates have been fixed for 6-23 Dec 2022. It’s a bit of a shorter season than what was planned for earlier this year, and that’s probably good as the tournament will wrap up before Christmas and New Year 2022. Sanath Jayasuriya, Wasim Akram, and Viv Richards have been appointed as ambassadors of LPL 2022.

LPL 2022 Schedule
Like we mentioned, it’s a shorter schedule for LPL 2022, one that takes place within 18 days, also because there’s the Big Bash League (BBL) set to take place during the same window (beginning 13th Dec 2022). A total of 24 T20s have been fixed on the LPL 2022 schedule, with all five teams playing a double round robin before we move into the LPL 2022 playoffs.
