With Khawaja away with the Ashes 2021/22 squad, Chris Green is leading the side and while he has a great T20 brain, we’re leaving him out because he’s not been taking too many wickets and bats too low down the order too. With just 10 runs in two games including a duck in the opening game, last year’s tournament top scorer Alex Hales has had a poor start to BBL 11 but he’s been consistent over the years here and makes our THU vs STA fantasy team.

Another person who has failed with the bat so far is Sam Whiteman with scores of 10 and 11 so far, but we’re leaving him out of our THU vs STA Dream11 team today. Scoring 44* and 43 in his knocks so far, Sam Billings has looked good and should make your team for sure. With the ball, Nathan McAndrew and Tanveer Sangha are the only two bowlers to get wickets in both games while Daniel Sams is an option too, because of his handy batting abilities.

Melbourne Stars

Opening the innings for Stars, Englishman Joe Clarke has only got 14 runs in 2 games but he’s someone who loves to get the score moving and you can expect a quick 25-35 score from his bat. Now with Marcus Stoinis returning to the side after recovering from injury, the runs will flow from the other end and there will be less pressure on Clarke. I’d like to pick both openers in our fantasy team today.

The biggest boost to the side was the return of Andre Russell and while he was expensive and wicketless with 0/40 in 4 overs, he’s expected to bat higher up than last game ans id a good choice for captain or vice-captain of your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) THU vs STA fantasy team.
