And now, BBL has announced a centralised pool of local players that teams can choose from in case their squads have been affected. Now, we have the second game in today’s BBL 11 fixtures as Melbourne Stars are in action once again. They have some of their players coming out of isolation and are looking at a slightly better squad now.

Their captain Glenn Maxwell is still in isolation which means Adam Zampa will take over captaincy duties and he hasn’t had a great BBL 11 season, so we’re leaving him out of our STA vs STR fantasy team and picking Qais Ahmed instead since the latter can bat if needed too. I’m excited to see Joe Clarke back in the setup as he had three consecutive fifties earlier this tournament while Hilton Cartwright has been the biggest hitter in their team this season.
They’ve got themselves an additional batting option in Joe Burns as well, and he can also be picked. With the ball, we definitely want Brody Couch in our STA vs STR Dream11 team as he’s been their leading bowler and hits the pitch hard, bowling a lot in the death overs as well. Another pacer with past success in the BBL and an immediate success when he joined the team in BBL 11 as well is Pakistan’s Haris Rauf.
Adelaide Strikers
Just as their batting was beginning to look a little better, Matt Renshaw returned a positive Covid-19 test and is out now in isolation. This means, additional responsibilities for someone like Jonathan Wells in the middle order. A few games ago, opener Jake Weatherald scored a fifty and he’s also worth picking while a few games ago too, Matthew Short also bowled his quota of 4 overs for the first time in a BBL game.

With the ball, Peter Siddle has been leading by example and is one of the leading wicket-takers this season while we’re happy to see Wes Agar getting an extended chance as he’s a death overs specialist and was one of their top wicket-takers last season.
