With 90 runs and 1 wicket in 3 ODIs in the recent series, Chamika Karunaratne was dismissed only once and what’s better is that he troubled all the Indian batsmen with his pace, which means I’d definitely want him in my SL vs IND fantasy team, maybe even as captain or vice-captain. Isuru Udana was dropped after playing the 1st ODI but it’s this format that he excels in the most, so it’s likely he’s brought back to the team.

Kasun Rajitha has been ruled out with injury, but we’re hearing Wanindu Hasaranga is likely to be 100% fit to be back to the side. Since he’s troubled the Indian batsmen already, we’re picking him in our SL vs IND Dream11 team for the 1st T20I. With 2 fifties and another score of 33 in the ODI series, Avishka Fernando was their most consistent and comfortable player at the crease, so there’s no reason to drop him either.

India

Talking about spinners, there’s someone called Varun Chakravarthy who has had to wait a long time for an opportunity and after a couple of successful IPL seasons, we think it’s his time now for a T20I debut. While Chahal and Kuldeep were average, we think Rahul Chahar was the pick of the bowlers in the 3rd ODI which India ended up losing. He picked 3 wickets on ODI debut and should certainly be given another chance.

The other two on this tour to still not get a game are Devdutt Padikkal and Ruturaj Gaikwad and we think they may have to wait a bit more before they get a chance.
