Tisca Chopra Trolled For Using Wrong Image of Mirabai Chanu

Sports fans and just the country in general would’ve felt super proud earlier this morning when their female weightlifter Mirabai Chanu Saikhom ended up winning India’s first gold medal of the ongoing Olympics 2021 in Tokyo. Tonnes of praises and tweets came in from across industries including sports stars, Bollywood celebrities and others.

Tisca Chopra Trolled For Using Wrong Image of Mirabai Chanu

One such person to shower praise and congratulations on Mirabai was Taare Zameen Par actress Tisca Chopra as she wrote a congratulatory tweet, telling Mirabai how she made the entire country proud today. While we definitely agree with Tisca, there was one major issue with her tweet which ended up being a little bit of entertainment for Twiterrati.

Tisca wrote about Mirabai Chanu and her achievement but the image she used within the tweet was of the wrong person. She accidentally used an image of the Indonesian weightlifter who ended up finishing third in the same Women’s 49Kg event, claiming bronze. Obviously, Tisca ended up being heavily trolled for this mistake on social media.

While humans do make mistakes, the Twitter family trolled her well enough that she ended up deleting the tweet and didn’t even send out a revised tweet. In fact, she even quoted one of the troll messages and retweeted it with a sorry message, saying, “Sorry – made a mistake” with the folded hands and the heart emojis.
