After a couple of weeks of action, we finally had some double headers at IPL 2020 and it’s another Sunday double header as Kings XI Punjab get set for yet another match this season, now taking on Chennai Super Kings in Dubai. Both these teams will be desperate for a win as they’re languishing at the bottom of the IPL 2020 points table, with 1 win in 4 games each.

CSK won their opening match against MI and since then, they’ve had a hat-trick of losses, the first time that has happened to them since back in IPL 2014. As for Punjab, they’ve come close in almost every game except the last one against Mumbai, and they’ll be looking to close matches better. Kings XI Punjab

A lot is clearly going to depend on the toss and setting a good total batting first. With 246 and 239 runs respectively, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul are the two highest run scorers in IPL 2020 so far but I’m liking the maturity that Mayank has shown as compared to Rahul, who was swiping at everything in the last game. Nicholas Pooran has only 86 runs in 4 games but his scores have risen every game and can be a real danger to the CSK bowlers.

Now with the ball, Mohammed Shami becomes a safe pick in your KXIP vs CSK fantasy team because he’s been fit and bowling in good rhythm, and will be looking to regain the Purple Cap today. Young leggie Ravi Bishnoi hasn’t been at his best with only 4 wickets in 4 games but he had a 3-fer in one game and we know he has the ability to be a game changing bowler at all times.

Chennai Super Kings

With the bat, Faf du Plessis is the safest pick because his score of 22 in the last game was his lowest all season. In fact, on a slower pitch like the Dubai one, we can expect him to stick in and score some runs as compared to Shane Watson, who is a popular pick in fantasy leagues but hasn’t been able to score runs. We’re also expecting Ambati Rayudu to score heavily after getting 71 in the first game and then missing a couple due to injury.

Considering he’s not being picked as a batting option, we’ll decide to leave Dwayne Bravo out of our My11Circle (Get Rs.500 Bonus*) fantasy team but we’ll pick Ravindra Jadeja in our team. He’s been short of wickets but that 50 in the last game will give him the required confidence for this match. I’m a big fan of Sam Curran and he is my pick for fantasy captain tonight!
