It’s been 18 months since the Indian captain last got an international century and it’s going to be tough here too, against some of the world’s best swing bowlers. However, we’ve seen Virat Kohli stand up to the task and we’ve seen his performances improve in England over the years, so he makes our IND vs NZ fantasy team here. He has 700+ runs in 9 Tests against NZ and the same goes for Cheteshwar Pujara, who has 2 centuries and 4 fifties. Ajinkya Rahane’s form has been poor of late, so we’ll choose to lave him out.

A year back, not many would consider Ravindra Jadeja for the India Test team but he had the most amazing IPL 2021 season which saw him being electric in the field, brilliant with the ball and also hitting an over of 37 runs in one game, so he can’t be left out of our IND vs NZ Dream11 team. Hanuma Vihari won’t be in many fantasy teams for this WTC Final 2021 but he is the only one in the squad who played 3 County games this season, so will be better used to conditions. India may go with either one, but we’d like it if both make the team.

New Zealand

With the bat, there were injury concerns for Kane Williamson and BJ Watling but we’ve got a confirmation that they should both be ready in time for the WTC Final 2021. Another option with the bat is Devon Conway who has been terrific in all three formats in his limited international career, with a double century on debut and 80 in the 2nd Test against England recently. Among current players, no one has more runs in India vs New Zealand Tests than the veteran Ross Taylor and he’s worth picking too.
