The much-awaited 2022 Australia tour of India is here and it’s going to much vital practice for both these sides who are joint favourites ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup which takes place down under. Australia is the defending champions as they won this tournament just last year and they’re always a favourite going into ICC tournaments or even bilateral series. Biggest positive for India is that Virat Kohli got into some next level for at Asia Cup 2022, with two fifties and a century in the tournament, ending second to only Mohammad Rizwan in the run scorer’s list. He’s got a good record vs Australia and scored 82* in a winning cause against them in Mohali itself at the 2016 World T20. He makes our IND vs AUS fantasy team while KL Rahul is expected to continue to be backed despite his poor form at the Asia Cup.
The biggest issue for India on the other hand is whether they’ll play Rishabh Pant over Dinesh Karthik. While we want to back youngsters especially before ICC tournaments, Pant has done well in ODIs and Tests, but has poor numbers in T20Is since 2020. We want DK in our IND vs AUS Dream11 team if he’s picked while Hardik Pandya is a must have as well. Umesh Yadav has been brought in for Mohammed Shami but we don’t think he’ll make the IND vs AUS playing eleven.

With 31 runs in his last 8 international outings, Aaron Finch is in poor form indeed, with just one score in double digits and as many as three ducks too. Instead, we can pick Steve Smith who seems to have found some form and could get some runs here, even though T20 is not is preferred format. Australia is clearly backing the big-hitter from Singapore Tim David and this guy is likely to make his T20Is debut, though he doesn’t have too much experience batting in Indian conditions.

Mitchell Marsh is missing out along with Mitchell Starc, so Cameron Green will be the main all-rounder in the side while we think Sean Abbott will be the perfect replacement for Starc with the ball.
