Cricket in Bangladesh is slowly coming back to normal after the coronavirus break and now, we have something called the BCB President’s Cup 2020 which is nothing but a 50-over tournament consisting of some of the top Bangladesh cricketers, divided into 3 teams led by iconic national team players. The tournament began on 11th October and will be a path into the national team for all those who perform here!
A total of 6 One Day matches will be played at the Shere Bangla ground in Dhaka between 11-21 October and in Match 2, we have Mahmudullah XI in action once again after they lost their opening game to Najmul XI. Now, they’re taking on Tamim XI and the latter will be playing their first game of the tournament. Mahmudullah XI
No prizes for guessing but Mahmudullah is leading this side, one of the better middle order batsmen in the country. He scored 51 in the first game and picked 1/27 with the ball as well, so he’s worth having in our MAH-XI vs TAM-XI fantasy team for sure. With the ball, it was Ebadot Hossain who was the best in the opening game, picking 3/46 and he even made his Test debut for Bangladesh last year.
Wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das has 12 fifties and 3 centuries for Bangladesh in a few years of his international career and though he didn’t score much in the first game, we’re picking him because he’s one of the best strikers of the ball in Bangladesh right now. With the ball, Rubel Hossain didn’t perform in the wickets column, bagging 0/31 in 7 overs but there’s no question of leaving him out because of all of his experience.
Tamim XI
