Lovlina Borgohain Wins Bronze Medal at Olympics 2021

After her victory int he quarter final of the Women’s welterweight (Boxing), Borgohain had a few days to prepare for her semi final clash which was today, 4th August 2021. It was always going to be a tough clash because she isn’t as experienced as the others she’s competing with and she was up against top seed Busenaz Sürmeneli from Turkey.

As expected, it wasn’t a very favourable result for the woman boxer because she was up against one of the best in the business. Borgohain ended up losing 0-5 in the Semi Final 1 of this event at Olympics 2021. It was a poor result on the day but it marks the end of a brilliant journey, and since she didn’t have ti fight out a 3rd place game, she was given the bronze medal!
