It looks like the year 2020 is just getting from bad to worse. From natural calamities to viruses to celebrities passing away, it doesn’t get worse than this. Fans woke up this morning to the saddest news of their Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman passing away at the age of just 43 after a battle with colon cancer.
Apart from his role as the Avenger, the American actor and producer was also known for his roles portraying real life historical figures like Jackie Robinson, James Brown, Thurgood Marshall and others. Born on 29 November 1976, he was diagnosed of cancer 4 years ago and earlier today, he passed away at is home in Los Angeles with his wife and family, as confirmed by his publicist Nicki Fioravante.
This came as a shock to most of his fans because quite a few of them were unaware of his illness, because he never publicly spoke about it. The family released a statement which left millions of people emotional on this Saturday morning. They tweeted the statement from his official Twitter handle, which saw tributes pouring in, in the form of comments and retweets.

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more- all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” said the statement.
