It’s been the most horrible and literally dampening start to the 2020 T20 Blast in England, with 8 of the first 9 scheduled games being washed out due to rain. Of course, the show must go on and we have a number of games (5) scheduled for today at different venues and times. One of them is Worcestershire vs Northamptonshire which will take place at the former’s home ground.

The side is being led by the young bowling all-rounder Ed Barnard who has been among the wickets of late and if required, he can hold his own with the bat as well. We’re picking him in our WOR vs NOR fantasy team because he’s sure of playing. With the bat, New Zealand’s Hamish Rutherford is in the side and he’s been in good touch as well, scoring a fantastic 155 in a List A game or Otago earlier this year!
Another high value pick with the bat is Ross Whiteley who hasn’t got great scores recently but remember, he has smashed 6 sixes in an over in the Vitality Blast in the past, so he’s the ideal T20 specialist batsman to have in your fantasy team. Daryl Mitchell is another Kiwi in the side who is the ideal fantasy captain pick because he bats and bowls and remember, he scored 110 in his last FC game for Worcestershire!
Northamptonshire
The side is being captained by Joshua Cobb who hit a couple of fifties in the 2019 Vitality Blast and he bowled in almost every game, which means you can’t drop him from your WOR vs NOR fantasy team. Talking about batsmen, this side has a few dangerous ones including Richard Levi, the South African who hit the scene many years back as one of the most dangerous T20 batsmen going around and he still has a bit of that reputation now.

With the ball, Dutch pacer Brandon Glover has been good and picked 4 wickets in his last FC games for the Northants, so should be picked as well.
