Farzi web-series – Best Twitter reactions

Farzi Amazon Prime show has a cop vs thief/robber angle which we’ve seen several times before. But viewers immediately drew similarities between this show and another Amazon original series called ‘Family Man‘, which has completed two successful seasons on Prime Video already. There also, the lead role cop had issues or circumventing the law to catch the criminals, while also having personal issues at home.

We’ve all heard of the Marvel Universe and the amazing chain of movies created by Marvel which culminated with ‘Avengers: End Game’ being a global success. Now, the universe concept is coming to India as well, with filmmakers applying the similar concept in ‘Brahmastra’ and now even in the recently released ‘Pathaan’ starring Shahrukh Khan but also having a cameo of Salman Khan aka ‘Tiger’.

Talking about the cast, we don’t think anyone would’ve been able to pull off the role of ‘Sunny’ as well as Shahid Kapoor himself. The way he got into character and towards the end, you could see the pain and revenge and anger in his eyes, which very few Indian actors have managed to portray in on-screen roles. There’s plenty of praise coming in for the ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Udta Punjab’ actor for is role in Farzi.

Vijay Sethupathi left us in splits several times during the 8 episodes of Farzi Season 1. He’s not as fit as we’re used to seeing him in hero roles but he’s done complete justice to his role here. His back and forth with Minister Gahlot is very witty and while Sethupathi struggled with his Hindi, he still managed amazing delivery, especially when abusing in the national language. See what Twitterati said about him:

Now let’s quickly talk about the lesser known cast. Bhuvan Arora played an energetic role from start to end, and had some amazing chemistry with Shahid Kapoor like they knew each other since they were kids (precisely how it was needed to be played). And while she had a much smaller role, Kavya Thapar also won millions of hearts, playing the role of Sunny’s ex-girlfriend.

Overall, we believe it’s a 7.5/10 and it’s certainly a must-watch, except for the fact the the ‘get rich or die-trying’ plot has been used a million times before. For similar entertainment updates from Amazon Prime Video and from around the world as well, stay tuned to ReadScoops.com.
