The most popular instant messaging application across the world, WhatsApp Messenger is always listening to user feedback and multiple times each year, there are new updates rolling out with convenient features. If you look back, the WhatsApp you use today is much simpler and easy to use than it was even 6-8 months ago, let alone 4-5 years ago!
Most recently, we spoke about WhatsApp adding the feature of linking a single account to multiple devices. So, you will be able to use the application on multiple smartphones! Now, we’re here with news of another feature ready to make its debut on the Facebook-owned application – the much-awaited Vacation Mode feature.
The feature will work as the name suggests. Currently, you have the option of archiving chats in WhatsApp which will make the archived chat disappear from your chat list. However, that’s only until there’s no message from that sender. Once the sender messages you again, the cat will pop up again to display new messages. However, that won’t be the case with the new Vacation Mode.

A similar feature was being tested on WhatsApp in the past, earlier known as ‘Ignore Archived Chats’ but it will reappear with a different name very soon, currently in testing in WhatsApp Beta version 2.20.199.8. The use of the feature is quite simple, allowing you to keep archived chats ignored for as long as you require them.
Going on holiday and don’t want to see texts from your boss until you’re back in office?! This is the feature you will need to use then. Apart from this, we’re expecting a whole lot of other features to be released soon, including improvements to WhatsApp Pay, Expiring Messages, and much more.
