US Open 2023 top seeds
The last tennis grand slam of the year means that there’s always a lot of excitement around the US Open Championships. The 2023 edition is here and it’s not going to be too different this time around either, with the top players in the world all aiming to end the season with a grand slam singles title to their name. The US Open 2023 dates were also announced a few months ago.
As with every other singles grand slam tournament, there are 32 top seeds announced in both the men’s and women’s tournaments respectively. In the men’s draw, defending champion and recent Wimbledon 2023 winner Carlos Alcaraz is the top seed while Poland’s 4-time grand slam winner Iga Swiatek is the US Open 2023 women’s top seed.
The most recent grand slam to have completed was Wimbledon 2023 where the men’s top seed Alcaraz went on to beat everyone else and win the title as expected. As for the women’s draw, none of the seeds went on to win as the unseeded Marketa Vondrousova went on to claim her first career grand slam single’s title.
