What has Chiara Passari Accused Nick Kyrgios Of?

One of the leading lights of the ongoing Wimbledon 2022 tournament has been Australia’s Nick Kyrgios. Love him or hate him, he’s a born entertainer but his bad boy personality has often led to him getting in a lot of trouble, both on and off the court. Now, he’s in severe trouble as an ex girlfriend has charged him of physical assault.

Currently, Kyrgios is making a run of his lifetime as he’s entered the quarter finals of Wimbledon 2022 and we think that the timing couldn’t have been any worse by his former girlfriend, Chiara Passari. As per our understanding, the two started dating late in 2020 and broke it off last year itself, as he started dating Instagram influencer Costeen Hatzi towards the end of the year, who he is still with currently.

What is Chiara Passari accusing Nick Kyrgios of?

As per a report read online, we believe that Kyrgios is due in court back home in Australia next month, for allegations of assault by his former girlfriend. “While Mr. Kyrgios is committed to addressing any and all allegations once clear, taking the matter seriously does not warrant any misreading of the process Mr. Kyrgios is required to follow,” attorney Pierre Johannessen said in a statement online.

Police in Canberra confirmed the charges against Kyrgios and said, “ACT Policing can confirm a 27-year-old Watson man is scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates court in relation to one charge of common assault following an incident in December 2021.” The allegations are in context of a domestic relationship and Kyrgios is set to issue a media release later.

Basically, there’s no context as yet regarding what are the allegations and charges filed against Kyrgios. The allegations are uncertain but in the past, Passari has taken to her social media to post screenshots of her chats with the tennis star, and also accusing him of domestic violence and emotional abuse on her Instagram stories.

“Domestic violence and emotional abuse will never be ok. ‘Talent’ doesn’t deserve fans when that’s the type of person you are,” she said on her Instagram story. She also posted chats of Kyrgios joking about her killing herself and also about an instance where he left her stranded in New York during US Open last year, while he entered the car with his ex girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya. She also likened him to his peer Alexander Zverev, who is also facing similar charges of abuse against his former girlfriend, Olga Sharypova. As of now, the Wimbledon organisers have no comment against what’s happening with Kyrgios and he’s scheduled to play his game as expected. If there is further investigation and evidence found against him though, action is likely to be taken.
