It was only recently that there was an online media auction held to know which company will hold broadcasting rights over the next five seasons of the super popular Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). And the results came out that weren’t very surprising, with Marshal Sports confirming that Star India has retained the media rights of the tournament, which will stay effective between PKL Season 8 to Season 12.
This basically means that Star will have the official rights for digital media as well as broadcasting rights, while all PKL 8 tournament details will also be available on the Star India official websites. For the next five seasons, Star Sports Network will be the official broadcasting partner of the Pro Kabaddi League, with official TV rights for the live telecasts, paying Rs.180+ Crore annually.
PKL 8 live streaming details
Star has brought plenty of popularity to the Pro Kabaddi League over the last few seasons and they will aim at maintaining the same over the next five seasons. Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2, and Star Sports First will be the official TV channels for the live broadcasts for those wanting to watch and follow PKL 8 live on their television sets from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, and Nepal.

For kabaddi fans who won’t have access to television sets, there is an options for PKL 8 online live streaming as well, as Disney + Hotstar (website + app) is the online live streaming partner of PKL Season 8. Hotstar is operated by Star India which is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India, and all PKL 8 matches will be available to stream live on Hotstar.
How to watch PKL 8 online?
If you don’t have TV, all you need is an internet connection and a Hotstar India subscription, which you can choose form multiple packages. In UK and Ireland, Sky Sports has won the big for telecast of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. OTT platform YuppTV has secured digital media rights for PKL 8 for Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South America, South East Asia and Continental Europe.
