Finally, the club confirmed yesterday that a call on the future of Ole at the club will be taken within the next 24 hours. And on Sunday afternoon, 21st November, the right decision was made as the club sacked him as Manchester United manager. Other reports even say that they reached upon this decision mutually. The club issued a statement on the same.

“Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision. While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success,” is how the statement began on the Manchester United website.
They continued to say that Ole’s place in the history of the club will always be secure and they thanked him for his contributions as a manager as well. “Michael Carrick will now take charge of the team for forthcoming games, while the club looks to appoint an interim manager to the end of the season,” they said, confirming that the former mid-fielder will be heading the team for a while now.
Manchester United can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as Manager.
