22′ mins: Almoez Ali gets a yellow card. Second one of the game and second for Qatar as well. He fouled the 4-time World Cup goal-scorer, Enner Valencia.

20′ mins: Ecuador clearly dominating so far. 74% possession and 23 attacks as compared to 8 of Qatar.

16′ mins: Penalty awarded and their captain and record goal-scorer Enner Valencia celebrates again. This time the goal will be counted as Ecuador goes 1-0 up. Goalkeeper Saad al Sheeb gets a yellow card for grabbing the striker’s foot in a tackle in the box. Second clear error from this keeper.

5′ mins: GOAL disallowed! What a start for the South American team. They’ve taken just 2 minutes and 40 seconds to find the net after the Qatar goal-keeper made a massive error.
