While there are hundreds of cricket tournaments taking place across the world, both international and domestic, here’s a brand new tournament called the Zim Afro T10 which is an expansion of the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament which has been taking place for the last 3-4 years in the UAE. Same franchises and player sharing means the tournament will enjoy a good popularity in Zimbabwe/South Africa too!
Zim Afro T10 2023 is the first edition of this tournament which is played in cricket’s fastest format, and there are five teams participating in the inaugural season – Bulawayo Braves, Harare Hurricanes, Cape Town Samp Army, Durban Qalandars, and Joburg Buffaloes. Each of them have marquee players, with a mix of both domestic as well as international superstars, along with a few Indian players in the mix as well.

Two of the franchises are Zimbabwean regional ones while three of them are South African. Mushfiqur Rahim, Robin Uthappa, and Sikandar Raza were three named captains of the five franchises, as per the latest announcement.
