Yuvraj Singh Announces NFT on 40th Birthday

A few days ago, former Indian cricketer and World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh celebrated his 40th birthday in grand style. As a cricketer, one major quality you’ve to have is being able to adjust to different situations and changing cultures and times. And now, moving with the times, he announced the launch of his NFT collection on his 40th birthday!

Many sportsmen and celebrities alike have been jumping onto the NFT bandwagon and Yuvi became the next person to do so, mentioning that his NFT will be launched and go live on 25 December 2021 on NFT platform, Colexion. For those who don’t know yet, NFTs are Non Fungible Tokens and Yuvi said that he’s giving a big present to his fans this birthday, by letting them own a part of his collection.

Users and fans can own rare digital artifacts through the blockchain network, and it’s likely that his 6 sixes moment will also be a part of Yuvi’s NFT collection on Colexion. In October, cricketer Sunil Gavaskar released a collection of NFTs while football Lionel Messi also did the same in August 2021.

“Being there from ball 1 to the time I decided to hang up my jersey, the fans have always been with me. Thank you for cheering in my highs and giving strength in my lows. On my birthday, I’m proud to announce a special gift for you,” said Yuvraj Singh on his social media handles, Instagram and Twitter.

Among Bollywood stars, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sunny Leone are some of the few who launched their NFTs as well. Among Bachchan’s NFTs were a recital of father’s poem Madhushala, which were roughly sold for an amount of Rs.7.18 crore ($966,000). It’s predicted that NFT sales will cross $17 billion by the end of this year!
