Wriddhiman Saha Tests Positive for Covid-19

This morning comes with a lot of bad news for cricket fans across the world, especially those in India. Yesterday, we reported news of 2 players from the KKR camp testing positive for coronavirus, which led to the first game of IPL 2021 being postponed. This morning, more bad news came in as tomorrow’s encounter between CSK and RR was put off, casting doubt over the rest of the IPL 2021 season as well.

Wriddhiman Saha Tests Positive for Covid-19

One good part from all this was that cricket fans could enjoy one last game before players moved into a compulsory one week isolation as per IPL SOPs. It was that tonight’s game of SRH vs MI would carry on as usual but now, there’s doubt over that happening as well, as wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has also tested positive for Covid-19.

This basically means that the entire IPL 2021 season could come to an end today as players are testing positive all across the different 8 IPL franchises. Just as we’re writing this, we’re hearing news of Delhi Capitals leg-spinner Amit Mishra also testing positive for coronavirus. With mass testing expecting among these franchises, a lot more positive cases may arise in the next few hours!
