There has been complete dominance of two countries when it comes to this event, with Australia Women being the most successful (6 titles) and England Women close behind them (4 titles), the latter also being the defending champs. Women’s World Cup 2022 Dates
Originally supposed to have taken place between 6 Feb – 7 Mar 2021, there was a whole year’s delay in this tournament because of Covid-19 restrictions and now, the tournament is set to take place in New Zealand between 4 March – 3 April 2022. New Zealand automatically qualified as hosts, while there will be seven other countries also taking part in the tournament.
Bangladesh, Pakistan and the West Indies were the last three teams to qualify through the ICC ODI Rankings and progress to the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Eden Park, Seddon Park, Bay Oval, University Oval and Basin Reserve are among the six venues in this tournament while the final will be hosted at the Hagley Oval.
