The internet went wild this morning as leading cricketer and national team captain Virat Kohli decided to break some very important personal news on his social media handles. Virat married Anushka Sharma who is a leading Bollywood actress and the two are always sharing posts about each other on Twitter, Instagram and other platforms.
Earlier this morning, Virat posted a photo of the couple with caption “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021 ❤️🙏” and we’re giving away absolutely no prizes for guessing what that caption would mean. Given were just about 5 months away, Anushka has been pregnant since a while but it’s only today that the couple decided to make this news public.
The duo is currently in Dubai as players are preparing for the much-awaited edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and in the upload, Anushka is sporting a black and white polka dot dress, showing off her baby bump. In a matter of minutes, we had hundreds of comments and tens of thousands of likes on this post, including a number of cricketers congratulating the couple.
Anushka Sharma also shared the same post at the same time on her Instagram account, with an identical caption. There, hundreds of comments came in from Taapsee Pannu to Alia Bhatt to Varun Dhavan and the entire Bollywood fraternity. Loads of blessings and prayers have come in for the couple since the announcement was made.

Virat and Anushka tied the knot in a special ceremony in Italy in December 2017 and this will be the couple’s first baby. Interestingly, this wasn’t the first couple to announce news of pregnancy this month, with Said and Kareena also announcing the same. Last month, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya and his girlfriend also welcomed their first child into this world.
