If you don’t know about the 2021 India tour of Sri Lanka, you’ve really been living under a rock. The tour was a ground breaking one for Team India as they were playing two completely different squads. On one hand, India is playing England for a Test series in England and on the other hand, their best domestic performers are playing in Sri Lanka for a limited overs tour, with controversy over a ‘second string’ team.
The next big issue was that of a few Sri Lanka players and staff members testing positive for coronavirus which led to the tour being pushed forward from its original start date of 13th July. Now, the ODI series begins on 18th July and post that, there’s the T20 series as well, with the tour ultimately wrapping up on 29th July 2021.
