Are The Sexual Allegations Against Babar Azam Fake?

It’s not the first time that a cricketer has been caught in the trap of sexual harassment allegations, and we’re certainly sure that it won’t be the last either. Everyone’s aware of Tim Paine’s sexting scandal which saw him step down as the captain of the Australian Test side while more recently, Sri Lankan opening batsman Danushka Gunathilaka was involved in an incident in Australia which saw him being arrested.

Now, a leading Pakistan cricketer and in fact, their captain across all three formats, Babar Azam, is right in the middle of a sexual harassment allegations, which came out earlier today but we’re still trying to figure the authenticity of these claims. An account on Instagram went viral today with several private pictures and videos of the Pakistan batting maestro, revealing a lot about his personal relationships.

Sexual allegations against Babar Azam on social media

Quite a few intimate images and videos were released on that Instagram account called ‘@eish.arajpoot.1‘ named Eisha Babar Azam. The account currently has 7 posts with photos and videos of the Pakistan national captain, including one of him video calling a girl, another of him in the car with someone, one of him sending voice notes on WhatsApp, and much more.

She accused him of being engaged to his cousin while also having 5-6 other girlfriends. “💔💔How can someone be engaged to his cousin And still talking to other 5-6 girlfriends. Wow you think thats how hero’s should be? Aise hero mari jayei toi achyi haie” was one of her post captions and the account was quick to get 2,000+ followers in no time.

Another allegation as per ‘research’ that cropped up on Twitter was that Babar Azam was sexting one of the girlfriends of a Pakistan teammate, saying that the teammate would continue to be a part of the team if she continued to sext him. On the counter side of things, it’s believed that Azam has been honey-trapped and framed into this entire controversy.

Considering he’s not married, there isn’t anything technically wrong with just the images and videos but at the same time, if he’s made the promises that she claims he has, it could mean trouble for Babar Azam. Most experts online believe that it’s a controversy against the leading Pakistan run scorer, but we’re not 100% sure yet.

If you remember, Imam ul Haq was caught in something similar a couple of years ago and while he was out for a while and criticised on social media, the controversy blew over and he’s back in the national side again.
