He hit a career-best 174(101) which included 21 fours and a six, also recording the second fastest ODI century for Zimbabwe.

Captaining in that game, Williams scored what was his 7th ODI hundred but he didn’t waste any time in getting the eighth one. In the next game against Oman, Zimbabwe scored 300+ once again and it was that man Williams once again, scoring 142(103) in another fascinating knock. He hit 14 fours and 3 sixes in this innings and Twitter has been going crazy over these Sean Williams consecutive centuries.

He also got a century earlier in the tournament, while scoring one fifty as well, which means Williams smashed 500+ runs in his last 5 ODIs, putting him on an elite list which includes names like Fakhar Zaman, Matthew Hayden, Babar Azam, and Virat Kohli, as pointed out in the tweet from ICC above. And with West Indies performing super poorly, Zimbabwe is likely to make it to the ICC World Cup 2023 now.
