In March 2023, a new tournament was inaugurated called the KhiladiX Legends Cricket Trophy (LCT). The first edition saw six (6) participating teams which were regional franchise teams from around India, and there were both domestic and international retired players take part in the tournament. And all games were scheduled at the VVIP Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad.
This tournament was scheduled after a very successful Legends League Cricket (LLC) Masters series in Qatar and most of those players just took a plane and continued playing at Ghaziabad. The legends / retired cricketers form of cricket is suddenly catching up and this competition is one of the first few in this space, so we’re expecting several more successful editions to take place in years to come…
The first edition was scheduled between 22-30 March 2023 with the games being telecast in more than 30 countries from across the world. With such massive coverage, it’s unlikely that the league is going to be a failure and the first edition was actually quite an entertaining one, which witnessed everything from catches to 5-fers and even individual centuries with the bat.

At this point of time, not future editions of the LCT T20 event has been scheduled but we believe it’s going to have quite a few recurring seasons, with more teams and definitely more recognised players from across the globe. To add to the beauty of the league, quite a few players are retiring from professional leagues earlier, so that they can participate in such tournaments.
The LCT 2023 final takes place on 30th March 2023, ending a season which was less than 10 days long. However, it had plenty of coverage and we’re sure that we will be adding to this LCT winners list soon.
