Both these teams have played a game so far in IPL 2018, and both began on a winning note. Chennai Super Kings handed Mumbai a defeat at Wankhede, while Kolkata Knight Riders won their home game against RCB quite comfortably. Now, we’re looking at a match up between two of the best teams in the league, both of who have won the IPL title twice in the past.
Teams
Kedar Jadhav has been ruled out of the 2018 Indian Premier League, and this will turn out to be a big blow to the Chennai Super Kings, given how he won them the game against Mumbai. Suddenly, their middle order becomes weak with even Faf du Plessis missing the first game. However, Murali Vijay, who was out with a rib injury, is mostly going to be back, slotting into Jadhav’s place.
Captains/Keepers!
Mind you, both captains are also the wicket keepers for their respective teams, and both have exceptional cricket minds. While going on current form and confidence, Dinesh Karthik wins the point; MS Dhoni will certainly get an up on experience and tact. One of these captains will be India’s wicket keeper at the 2019 World Cup, so this will be an important match and overall an important season for the two of them. Who do you think will win?
Overall
I believe that along with Mumbai Indians, the Kolkata Knight Riders have one of the best squads in this season of the IPL, and I don’t think it’s going to be too tough to get past CSK. We saw CSK struggle with the bat in the last game, and with KKR’s wide range of spinning options, I expect the same to happen here in Game 5, and Kolkata Knight Riders to win. Expect a lot of googlies being bowled by the Knights!
