Every time there’s an India vs Pakistan clash, there’s high intensity and two countries backing their sports teams with all their might. Whether cricket or hockey or political ties, there’s always a lot on the line and since relationships between the two countries don’t allow bilateral series, these two teams only play each other in major international tournaments in cricket.
The next time they’ll take on each other is at the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup, which was postponed by a year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Beginning in October after the IPL 2021 tournament in the UAE, the 2021 World T20 schedule was announced earlier on Tuesday, 17th August after an ICC meeting earlier in the morning.

The group stage games have been announced and the biggest highlight of the lot was that of India taking on Pakistan on 24th October 2021. It’s one of three group stage games for India in the 2021 World T20, the other two being against New Zealand and Afghanistan. This is the second group of the Super12 Stage of the ICC Men’s T20 WC, and will kick off in Dubai at 6pm local time (7:30pm IST).
The arch-rivals have a great time when they meet in ICC tournament and more often than not, India gets the better of Pakistan in these tournaments. However, it wasn’t the case when they met a few years back in the ICC Champions Trophy final in England, where Pakistan ended victorious and took home the trophy as well.
