Women’s Super 50 – SCO-W vs TYP-W Fantasy Preview

Between 3 August to 27 September 2020, Cricket Ireland announced the Ireland Women’s Super 50 tournament which has already began, though Dream11 hadn’t covered the first round on their fantasy sports platform. While it’s good that the game has returned to Ireland, remember there are only 2 teams in this competition which means we’ll get in only one game per week.

This tournament is a good opportunity for women cricketers in the country to fix a spot in the national side and while choosing your fantasy teams, give preference to those who have international experience. In Match 2, we have Scorchers Women playing Typhoons Women at Pembroke CC. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (Use code “READAD46“) fantasy preview of the SCO-W vs TYP-W game…

Scorchers Women

Having made her T20I debut for Ireland Women at the age of only 13 years, Gaby Lewis is now one of their mot experienced players with 876 runs in 55 international games along with 13 wickets under her belt, and she’s going to be leading Scorchers Women. Gaby scored 74 in the first game and apart from her, Leah Paul was the other player to score a fifty, opening the innings while also picking up a wicket later.

Another similar all-round contributor could be Sophie MacMahon who scored only 2 runs in the last game and won’t be a popular fantasy pick for this SCO-W vs TYP-W fantasy team. However, she bats at number #3 and was one of three players to get a wicket in the last game. With 59 international games to her name, Shauna Kavanagh is expected to continue as wicket-keeper, scoring 16(32) in the last game.

Typhoons Women

The side is being led by Laura Delany who is a vital part of the Irish Women’s national side with 1,040 runs and 46 wickets in 99 international games, which means she’s a good pick for fantasy captain or vice-captain. 23-year old Rachel Delaney is also someone to watch out for; she doesn’t have the best of international stats but in 2018, she scored 68 and picked 3/33 in a game against Zimbabwe Women.

This team has many all-rounders and Orla Prendergast is another one of them who can be picked as a captain or vice-captain for your MyFab11 (Use code “READAD46“) fantasy team. With 58(72) and 0/28 in 6 overs in the last game, she’s one of the highest exposed players in the side. Another player like her who opened the batting and scored 42, and bowled a few overs too is Rebecca Stokell.
