Women’s IPL 2020 - SUP vs VEL Fantasy Preview

As we reach the end of the IPL 2020 season, the organisers have decided to bring on the women’s version of the game as well and between 4-9 November 2020, we will have the Women’s T20 Challenge 2020 hosted in UAE, with the tournament taking place for the second time after the IPL Supernovas won the 2019 final by 4 wickets in Jaipur last year.

Now, they’ll be taking on IPL Velocity and while our top Indian stars will captain the franchise teams, there is a lot of international talent on display as well. Last year, Supernovas won both contests between these two sides and they begin as favourites once again. Talking about getting wickets, we have one of India’s best spinners in Poonam Yadav who has managed 17 wickets in her last 10 bowling outings!

It’s been a really long time since Danni Wyatt scored a fifty for England Women but she’s super talented and will be able to dominate some of these bowlers, so it’s not a wise decision to leave her out of your team today. Similarly, there’s the 16-year old Shafali Verma who may have only 2 fifties in 19 T20Is but she is one of the most dangerous batters in women’s cricket at this point of time.
