One batsman we won’t leave out though is last year’s top tournament run scorer in Alex Hales who has 3 fifties and a century last season. The season prior to that as well, he finished second to Marcus Stoinis in the BBL 09 run scorers’ list.

Experience counts and thus we’re picking Ben Cutting who is the designated six hitter of this team but remember, he hasn’t played professional cricket since the Abu Dhabi T10 League in March 2021. With the ball, Tanveer Sangha was revolutionary last year, so he makes our THU vs HEA Dream11 team while Daniel Sams is someone you want too, since he’s a pinch hitter too. Both also got national side call ups in recent years because of BBL performances.

Brisbane Heat

They have the experienced Tom Cooper but he’s been super short of runs, so we’re leaving him out. Wicket-keeper Jimmy Peirson takes over as captain from Chris Lynn, the latter being the top run scorer in BBL history. Peirson has a fifty and two centuries across formats since Oct 2021, so pick him too. From the overseas lot, pick opener Tom Banton who’s come off a successful stint with Deccan Gladiators at the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10.
