STR vs HUR Dream11 Team – BBL 2020/21 | 13 Dec

The best part about T20 franchise cricket is Super Sundays and this is the first Sunday we’re having at the 2020/21 Big Bash League, where two matches will be scheduled. In Match 5 of BBL 2020/21, we have Adelaide Strikers in action and this is going to be their first game of the season, after finishing third on the points table last season with 8 wins in their 14 round robin matches.

They’ll be facing off against Hobart Hurricanes and the latter will have the advantage for multiple reasons. Firstly, Hobart come into this game with the home advantage, playing at the Bellerive Oval and secondly, they already have the confidence from playing and winning their opening game of BBL 10! Keep reading for our complete PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234) fantasy preview of the STR vs HUR game…

Adelaide Strikers

Firstly, remember to leave Alex Carey and Harry Conway out of your STR vs HUR fantasy team as they’re currently representing Australia A against India. The side will be led by Travis Head who is expected to contribute with both bat and ball and is coming off 2 big centuries in his last 3 FC games. If you want another batting option, consider picking Jonathan Wells who was their top scorer in BBL 09 but has had no match time since then.

You can instead also pick Jake Weatherald who had a decent season last time too but has 2 fifties and a century in his last 5 FC games as well, so there’s a bit of game time in recent months. With the ball, they have the magician Rashid Khan in their squad and there’s no way I’m leaving him out while Michael Neser is a must have as well, probably someone even worth considering as your fantasy captain or vice-captain.

Hobart Hurricanes

The side will be without the world’s #1 T20I batsman Dawid Malan until mid-January so until then, Colin Ingram is your best overseas batting bet who scored 55 in the first game, batting at #3. Opening batsman D’Arcy Short has been having a poor run of form but he shot to form at the BBL and that may boost his confidence for upcoming games. We’re picking him because he’s also a very frequent bowler these days.

Peter Handscomb is leading the side but I feel no compulsion to have him in my PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234) STR vs HUR fantasy team today because of no great scores leading up to BBL 10. Tim David is a Singapore national player but he proved his worth with 58 in the last game and should be picked as well. If you want a bowling option, we’d suggest picking Riley Meredith who has been among the wickets in recent months.
