Sri Lanka

Dushmantha Chameera is out of the tournament with a calf injury which makes the SL bowling attack a little weak. Asitha Fernando is likely to be the main pacer but we don’t expect a lot of wickets from him, so we’re leaving him out of our SL vs AFG Dream11 team and instead will pick the spinners. Maheesh Theekshana was effective in the recent IPL 2022 and Wanindu Hasaranga has been a game-changer in every international or franchise league he’s played.

With the bat, Sri Lanka has struggled to get good opening partnerships but Bhanuka Rajapaksa is someone you can add to your SL vs AFG fantasy team because he likes to attack especially in the powerplay overs. Lower down the order is their captain Dasun Shanaka whose international performances have been desirable in ODIs but in the T20 format, he’s almost always delivered in 2022, with 300+ T20I runs this year.

Afghanistan

The Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi hasn’t been in the best of form with the bat after not getting a single double-digit score in the recent Ireland series. However, his experience will matter, especially with the ball in this tournament. We’ll leave Rashid Khan out as a big gamble as opponents have started playing him more cautiously, which means fewer wickets for the spin wizard, even though he barely gives away any runs.
